 REVIEW
3.5* read.
I love rockstar romances, its one of my favourite genres so I was really excited to read this.
First off I loved the front cover, really eyecatching and was one of the main reasons I wanted to read this book. The front cover is always one of the first things that grabs my attention and the main reason I'll pick up a book. This was different to other rockstar books I've read and I did feel it was unique in its own way. I struggled with rating it between 3* and 4* because although I really enjoyed it I felt there was pieces missing and the characters were sometimes hard to connect with.
For me this was a great debut book and a author I will be keeping my eye on. The writing style flowed really well and I look forward to seeing her next book.
Laura Benson Bio:
Laura Benson was born in 1968, during a year of terrible strife.
She is a wife and the mother of two daughters, one stepson, and the grandmother of precocious 8- month old. With Two basset hounds and the Arizona dust, she can't seem to keep her floors clean.
Her penchant for wine has gotten her into more than trouble than necessary. Especially when she is with her friends.
Originally from Massachusetts, she made her way out west in 2013 and hasn't looked back. The lack of blizzards is big bonus to living in Arizona.
She started as a blogger in 2008, attended many book conventions and author signings and is ready for this new part of her life.

Title: Take Me As I Am
Series: Imperfections #3
Author: Shaniel Watson
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Cover Design: Sarah Hansen, Okay Creations
Release Date: November 29, 2016

Blurb

Can one night of passion ignite a fire that will last a lifetime?

Sexy, overbearing, bold, take no prisoners Ava Alexander drives me crazy. She’s the opposite of me and everything I don’t want in a woman.

Then there’s Sage Wilson…everything I should and do want. Ava’s a match, and if I let her, she’ll burn down everything around me. But one night is all it takes. A night seared into my mind of a raven-haired temptress with a body made for the worst kind of the sweetest sin and regret.

I don’t want to hurt anyone. If I let her break down my defenses, that’s exactly what will happen.

I’m a woman who knows what she wants and I make no apologies for it. Smart and successful, I have everything. Except for the one man I have my sight set on, Christopher Reed, my best friend’s brother. He’s handsome, caring, patient, the voice of reason. But don’t be fooled, as I learned, underneath all his controlled reserve is a man that commands obedience, and he’s not easily swayed by my charms and bold demeanor. But I’m a woman determined to show him I’m exactly what he needs. There’s only one problem: Sage. The one person standing in my way.

REVIEW
3.5* read.
I think that I really should have read the other books first before as I was a bit lost throughout, but I expected it to be a standalone in a series so didn't think I'd need to. My advice is read them in order and you'll enjoy them all more and be able to follow the whole storyline better.
I don't want to say to much about this book as like I say for people who have read the series from the start they will enjoy this more and rate it higher then me. My score reflects my own personal opinion and doesn't reflect on this authors writing style at all. Like I say it was my own fault for not reading the others first and I will definitely go back and read them now then go back to this book.

REVIEW
4* read.
Not my typical read but a great fresh M/M romance from a new author to me.
To start off with I probably would have rated higher then this but for me the ending was to rushed and felt like it needed a bit more, but apart from that I loved it.
There is quite alot going on and alot of emotions are portrayed that you really do go on a emotional rollercoaster. I usually stay away from stories with any form of cheating in, for me it brings up to much for me that I can never enjoy the book, but I'm glad I gave this one ago because although there is a form of cheating in it the author had to do it for the story and it fitted the plot.
I will definatly be reading more from this author and look forward to reading their next book.

And without closure, there was no moving on.

Will

Visions of her would haunt my dreams for all eternity. That night destroyed my world and changed my life forever.

REVIEW
4* read.
Debut novel and a quick and really emotional read.
The characters were really relateable and enjoyed seeing their connection both in the past and 10 years later.
It is a really quick read as I've said but a lot of emotional and drama was pact into it.
I look forward to seeing more from this author.

Title: Snowed in With The Boss
Author: Lili Valente
Genre: Contemporary Erotic with a smidge of BDSM
Release Date: November 21, 2016

Blurb

“Bend over and lift your skirt. I’m going to show you what it’s like to spend Christmas on the naughty list…”

Let’s get one thing straight—I’m not your usual bad boy billionaire. I’m actually a nice guy. A very nice guy who also enjoys turning a woman over my knee and spanking her ass until she begs for mercy—AKA a good, hard, hold-her-down-and-teach-her-who’s-boss f*ck.

I’m a gentleman in the boardroom and a Dominant in the bedroom. I’ve also been secretly in love with my sweet, sexy, too-innocent-for-her-own-good executive assistant, Jane, for the better part of two years.

But like I said, I’m a gentleman. Any woman on my staff is strictly off limits.

Until the night I’m snowed in at the office with Jane…

The same night I discover she’s a submissive looking for a teacher…

The night I decide to make her mine…

“Are you ready to be possessed? If so, get on your knees, beautiful. The game is about to begin. Tonight, you’re mine.”

WARNING: This red hot holiday read contains spanking, dirty talk, and a Dominant alpha male who will melt your panties off—he doesn’t care how cold it is outside. Hotness level—five hot toddies, four roaring fires, three turtleneck sweaters, two chestnuts roasting, and a spanking with a switch from that old pear tree.

REVIEW
4* read.
I love this authors work so even though this isn't a read I usually go for as there's only certain authors I read in this genre, I was still looking forward to giving it a read.
This is a novella so its a very quick read and a lot of heat packed into that. There is BDSM in this but its not as hardcore as some books can be which actually suited me more. I liked watching their relationship develop and the connection they had.
A refreshing take on a festive book, a great quick read and enjoyable story that can be read in one sitting.

Excerpt

He stops in front of his desk, his hands skimming down my shoulder blades and the valley of my spine to wrap lightly around my waist. “So bend over and put your palms flat on the desk, Jane. We’ll start with ten. Next time it will be twenty.”

“Ten what, sir?” My nerve endings sizzle as I place my hands where he’s indicated, my sex throbbing as my hips tilt back and my ass juts out into the air behind me.

But he doesn’t answer; he simply draws back a hand and slaps my ass cheek right below my panty line.

I cry out, a surprised, turned on, “Oh yes, please,” sound that becomes a gasp as Ten spanks me a second time and a third. By the fourth, I’m arching my back, silently begging for him to give it to me harder, faster.

And like he’s read my mind, he does.

Ten slaps me so hard my thighs ripple, and I feel the sting of the spanking all the way up my spine. And it is good, so terribly, wonderfully good, that I realize it’s going to be harder to be an obedient submissive than I’ve thought.

Until right now, I had no idea how good it could feel to be bad.

But if this is what it’s like to spend Christmas on the naughty list, then Santa can write my name on that sucker in permanent ink.

I knew I wouldn’t find the answer in the bottom of a bottle but I walked into his bar anyway.
An accidental meeting...
The overwhelming urge to draw closer
I knew it was wrong.
But the need was powerful.
The yearning was strong.
The gravitational pull too hard to resist. So we gave in to temptation. But life isn't simple and nothing worth fighting for ever comes easy.

REVIEW
2* read.
Unfortunately not the book for me, its hard to write a review on a book you don't enjoy and I really do hate to give low marks as I don't want to put other readers off who may love it so I'll just give my own personal opinion of what I didn't enjoy and let others make their own mind up.
Ok so for me the plot felt rushed and not believable at times. It was just to far fetched for me and I also didn't invest or believe in the characters especially Reese. Gage and Reese's relationship wasn't developed enough for me to believe and invest in them as a couple and as characters so this reason alone drastically affected my mark.
Sorry but this wasn't the book for me but hopefully other readers will still take a chance as my tastes are different to others.

REVIEW
4* read.
When Ryker meets Rebecca sparks fly straight away. Ryker had everything he wanted till it was all took away from him and now he only has one option left, which brings him into Rebecca's path.I love how Ryker never gave up and slowly broke down her defenses, there's something about a determined character that makes me fall in love with them and root for them to get the girl. The chemistry and banter between them was both funny and hot and really made for a great and interesting read.
I'm looking forward tot his authors next book.

Excerpt

For the next three hours I’m swamped answering calls—thankfully no more real estate agents—and helping anyone that comes in while trying to finalize the boys’ events for the next month. When that damn bell chimes for the hundredth time today, I plaster a forced smile on my face and glance up. When my eyes finally focus on the man walking through the door, the smile vanishes and my jaw falls open.

What the actual fuck?

His head is high as he looks around, studying the room. After giving the gym a quick onceover, his gaze finally lands on where I’m seated behind the desk. Our eyes meet and my heart hammers, the pounding so loud I fear he can hear it from across the room. I tear my gaze away from his and scan his body, surprised at the physical reaction I’m having to him.

With a slight shake of my head, I slap my palms on the paper-covered wood, and shove out of my chair, causing it to shoot out at least ten feet behind me. “You have some nerve walking in here.”

He stops in his tracks and blinks at me before an easy smile crosses his face. “Rebecca Toler. Shoulda known I’d see you here.” He drawls as he continues walking toward me.

My pulse is pounding in my ears and my stomach is practicing its floor routine for the Olympics as I stare at the man in front of me. Taking a minute to appreciate his strong jaw line that’s covered in scruff, I notice that his hair is in desperate need of a trim as it falls across one eye.

Fuck, he’s sexy.

He always had been. Regardless how much it pains me to admit it. Though his looks weren’t why I wanted to full body hurl him from the building. Memories of our last interaction flood my mind, along with the hurt and anger I’d felt.

“How ya been, Reb?” he asks with a familiarity he doesn’t have.

His use of my nickname, a familiarity he doesn’t have––or deserve––causes me to snap childishly, “Who said you could call me that?”

He grins, but doesn’t reply.

Fuck, that grin is hot.

“What are you doing in Atlanta, Ryker?” I ask, attitude still thick in my voice.

He takes his time looking me over and my body betrays me by flushing at the attention. His eyes are appreciative of what they see, but strangely enough, it doesn’t feel like he’s ogling me.

He steps forward and shoves his hands in the pockets of his washed out jeans that hang low on his hips. “Well, I was in town and thought I’d stop in and say hello to my buddy Breccan. Seeing you is an unexpected bonus.” His lips tip up in a smile and my stomach flips again.

“Your buddy?” I hiss through clenched teeth while attempting not to let my gaze linger on his pants any longer. The thought of Ryker and Breccan ever being buddies would have been funny, if I wasn’t too shocked to laugh.

His gaze finally makes it back to mine and he nods once.

For a few moments we simply stare at each other, him smiling while I scowl.
