I
love Sabrina Paiges books, not only does she write one of my favourite genres
so well (stepbrother romances), but she pulls you and and connects you with the
characters.
The story starts with Hendrix and Addison
meeting after not seeing each other in five years, since they were teenagers,
when Hendrix comes back as her new bodyguard. Its been so long as Hendrix went
away and joined the Marines and Addison went on to make her successful career as a country music
star. Both parents are very controlling, Hendrix's dad has
been married to Addison's mum for 7 years. Addison is also
managed by her mum so you feel the pressure and control on her life and the
fact that she cant do what she wants to do where her music is concerned. Hendrix
has also never got on with his ex-Army dad who is also demanding and
controlling.
This
has a different feel from Sabrina's other stepbrother romances Prick and Tool,
its more emotional but is similar in the way that there's a lot of panty
dropping scenes that heat you up in all the right places. It moves fluidly between the present and the past throughout
the book showing you how their relationship develops and you really feel all
the emotion throughout.
