How To Catch A (Rock) Star by Gabrielle Aquilina

I received a ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.

So I love rock star books, who doesn't love a sexy alpha bad boy rock star, so I couldn't wait to read this. Honestly it's hard to write this review as I'm still up in the air about this book, I liked and enjoyed it but I wasn't wowed by it and it wasn't what I was expecting. The writing was a little all over in place in parts for me but better in others. It was a cute story but the insta love just wasn't for me in this, I felt their relationship needed more time to develop, but that was just in my opinion.
Lillie was a sweet girl who'd been hurt in the past and this was affecting her present too but I love how she grew in this book. Jed was not your typical rock star but he did have secrets which you find out later.
It was a enjoyable read and I would defiantly read more from this author in the future to see how their writing style has developed.

Finally Finding Faith (The Reed Brothers #3.5) by Tammy Falkner

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.

Finally Finding Faith by Tammy Falkner is a short novella in her The Reed Brother series. This was such a beautiful emotional novella and I only wish there was more.

Daniel is very troubled, he's depressed and suffering from PTSD after everything so he makes a decision, a bucket list of things to do and this leads him to Faith, who also has a troubled past. Faith spends the day with Daniel helping him complete his bucket list and with her he starts to feel again, he sees small glimpses of hope but still believes he cant be saved. I wont give to much away as this is just a short novella but you will love this short emotional story, and laugh and cry along just like I did.

The List (College of Charleston #1) by Kate L. Mary

I received a ARC in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.
3.5* read.
Annie is a sweet inexperienced girl. Growing up with an overprotective father and four brothers too she feels she's missed out on everything so as a college freshman Annie's determined to change that and live her life more. So she decides to make a list of things she wants to do before she turns twenty.
Its hard to right this without giving to much away so ill just say that the romance in this was a bit frustrating for me at times (I don't want to spoil it so no names given), but throughout I found myself wishing the characters would just get on with it instead of how it does go, for me that spoiled it a bit but I loved the chemistry between them just took them too long to get together. I also felt it ended a bit to abruptly, it needed a epilogue.
I did really enjoy this though, was a fun read and I cant wait for the next one about Cami, will defiantly be reading that too.

The Core (Equilibrium #1) by Kate Thomas

I received a ARC in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.
4* read.

Really enjoyable read there's so many twists and turns that right when I thought I was on it, another twist happened and the suspense throughout kept me gripped. Ellie and David have a very a slow burn relationship and I was disappointed when it ended as it did as I was rooting for them and needed more, so I'm patiently waiting for the next book. I really enjoyed it and will defiantly read more by this author.

Diamond Duplicity (Jewels of Desire #1) by Erica Lucke Dean and Elise Delacroix

I received a ARC in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.
2* read.
It was a very quick fast paced read which I didn't realize till I started reading it. There was too much of the rushed insta-love thing that it didn't feel real it or connect with the characters or plot. I enjoyed it to a degree and would read more by this author but it wasn't worth more then 2 stars for me.
It was very steamy (I mean sex sex sex) and a lot of suspense to it but it just felt rushed throughout and I couldn't enjoy it as much as like I say I didn't realize it was going to be that quick of a book, I prefer more of a story so you can connect with the characters more. Sorry but wasn't for me.

Center Ice (Corrigan Falls Raiders #1) by Cate Cameron

I received a ARC in exchange for an honest review from Entangled (via Netgalley).

4* read.

I love hockey romance books so before I even read it I hoping it wouldn't disappoint, and it didn't, I really enjoyed Center Ice which surprised me especially with it been a YA I tend to read more NA but I loved the sweet romance based on two teens going through serious pressure at home.
This is a well written story based on Karen and Tyler with a few troubles along the way, lets face it life isn't easy is it.
I have to admit at first I hated Karen, the way she treated her new family made me want to scream at my kindle, but I did start to warm up to her later on in the book and got into it more then.
The story is told in both point of views, from Tyler and Karen, which I loved, dual point of view is my favourite, you get to see what's happening to both characters and understand them more and relate to both of them more.

I cant wait for the next book in the series.

Mia and the Bad Boy (Backstage Pass #2) by Lisa Burstein

I received a ARC in exchange for an honest review from Entangled (via Netgalley).

4* read.

This is the second book in the Backstage pass series. The first one followed Aimee and Miles, this one follows bad boy Ryder and good girl Mia.
I love the whole good girl bad boy books, maybe cause I always fall for the bad boys myself, but I always love when that bad boy falls for the sweet innocent good girl so this book me had me from the title. I loved it even more when I realized they had the whole fake/pretend relationship, I love that it builds up the chemistry and tension.
I laughed throughout at Ryder and the stuff he came out with sometimes and the relationship he had with Mia was heart warming, I love a bad boy who isn't as bad as he's made out to be. ! It was told in both Ryder and Mia's perspectives, which I loved. I love to see inside both of their so your not left wondering what the other ones thinking.
I would love to see this as a NA series as it kind of already has that slight feel to it, I think it would get a whole range of new readers who would love it too.

The Line Between (The Line Between #1) by Tamsyn Bester

I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Well written emotional and gripping story and my favorite kind, the bad boy alpha who is basically a complete ar**hole at first i mean complete utter jerk
Dane is my new book boyfriend, heck i wish he was my actual boyfriend, i love the bad boy alphas what can i say. As for Kennedy i felt so sorry for her, she's been through so much and it didn't seem to be getting any better. The sexual tension and chemistry between Dane and Kennedy only added to the story. I love love/hate relationships, there my favorite kind of books where they have to work hard at been together and its not all flowers and kittens, its gritty more like real life and it drags you in more, you invest in them as a couple and feel every single emotion too.
I'd highly recommend this book i couldn't put it down, i devoured every last page and felt every last emotion, defiantly worth the read.

Hold Me Until Midnight by Christina Phillips

ARC kindly provided by Entangled Publishing (via NetGalley) in exchange for an honest review.

I was really loved the idea of this book before i even read it, hiring a date/bodyguard for her father's wedding, what could be better then the bad boy falling for the rich princess. I love these types of books so i couldn't wait to get stuck in.
Scarlett and Jackson from the moment they meet have this explosive chemistry that you can feel sizzling off the page, and what I loved was how throughout it all they conquered everything all the ups and downs and even though they are from completely different backgrounds in the end that doesn't matter. It just goes to show love doesn't have a class, you cant choose who you fall in love with its chooses you.
I laughed out loud throughout as well as getting all hot over the steamy scenes. Was an enjoyable book and i will defiantly read more from this author in the future.

Aflame (Fall Away #4) by Penelope Douglas

If i could give this more then 5* i would, I loved it, every single last page of it.
I have to admit this whole series is one of my favorite series if not my absolute favorites ever. I've laughed cried and melted through every single book devouring each last page till the early hours and Aflame was the perfect ending to an amazing series by a truelly talented author.
In this last book before this one we were given a glimpse into Aflame so everyone knew straight away that Jared and Tate would be apart for some of this book. This angered a lot of readers who weren't happy with this decision, but i have to say Penelope took the story where it needed to go, like real life relationships aren't easy or smooth and sometimes time apart can make you that much stronger and actually related a lot to this story as it was quite similar to what happened to me and my boyfriend so I felt I connected to it.
Jared and Tate are the perfect couple in my eyes they have ups and downs but in the end their love and connection makes them so strong together. My favourite quote was from mr panty dropper himself:
You’re written all over my body,” he spoke low, just for us. “The tattoos can never be erased. You hold my heart, and you can never be replaced".
Throughout you also got to still see the other relationships between the interlocked characters and how they have progressed, and in the end everyone of their stories was wrapped up.
I hope in the future we maybe get their kids stories, id love to see Jared as a protective dad and uncle.
Thankyou Penelope for reminding me why I have the love for books and for an amazing series.

Saving Dancer (Savage Brothers MC #2) by Jordan Marie

5* read

I don't even know where to start i just lovedddd this book, i could not put it down and my god my emotions were all over the place. An amazing gripping story that was both heartbreaking and dealt with some dark issues throughout, but the way Jordan writes this is in a way that as a reader you understand and you go on their journey too. At times i have to admit i hated Dancer for how he was with Carrie but the more you read the more you realise how damaged he really is and by the end i was completely entrapped by him and how he got through everything he was put through just shows how strong he is and how strong Carrie and Dancer are as a couple. So worth the read could not put it down and i cant wait for the next book, well done Jordan for tackling some difficult and traumatic issues and making this beautiful heartbreaking addictive book.
